Choice plays a central role in ensuring the success of the national Disability Insurance Scheme. While choice is often spoken about, as a practical task it is far from easy to implement.
2. individualized supports: pricing and costing strategies for disability support providers
The National Disability Insurance Scheme will establish a new relationship between people with a disability and disability support providers. More than ever before, disability support organisations will need to function as enterprises and offer value for money as well as have boundaries around their core business and strategic planning.
3. include me: creating volunteer opportunities for people with a disability
A 20 page booklet that introduces inclusive volunteering and provides helpful tips for creating opportunities in the local community that will benefit everyone involved.
4. volunteer manual: taking that extra step
A guide to supporting volunteering for and among people with a disability. This project was undertaken by Inclusion Melbourne, bringing together a range of experts to assemble for the first time information needed by an organisation to support good practice.
